In the previous article of this series, “A Relatively Quick Probability Crash Course — Part 4 — Bernoulli Trial and Discrete Random Variables” the main focus was the discrete random variables.

In this article, the main focus will be swift to continuous random variables.

Probability distributions for random discrete, and thus countable, random variables do not work when the set of random variables includes ranges of variables, and thus an uncountable number of random variables.

For that reason, probability distributions for random continuous variables are a separate topic.

Student’s T Distribution

When the sample size is very small and the standard deviation cannot be calculated, then the use of the Student’s T probability distribution would fit the problem more than the standard deviation, mentioned above.
