Disclaimer: This article doesn’t have any political scope. The only goal of this article is to analyze the economy under the model proposed by Karl Marx, who was undoubtedly one of the most influential economic thinkers in history.

Marx’s Short Bio

Karl Heinrich Marx (1818–1883) was a German philosopher and economist. He was born in Trier, a German town near the West German border with Luxemburg. His father converted from Jewish to Lutheran, an action that would impact Karl for the rest of his life.

He was privately educated until the age of 12 when he went to Trier High School. His father, Heinrich Marx, worked as an attorney and was influenced by philosophers such as Immanuel Kant and Voltaire. His mother, Henriette Pressburg, was from a prosperous Dutch business family that later founded Philips, the electronics company that we know even today.
